HDMI and ASA establish liaison relationship to develop ASA Adaptation Layer specification compatible with HDMI 2.x specification

In April 2022, HDMI Forum and ASA established a liaison relationship for the purpose of development of an ASA Adaptation Layer specification that is compatible with the HDMI 2.x specification. The exchange of specifications, and drafts, and collaboration under within this liaison relationship of will help to strengthen the focus on display protocols with its various use cases in the automotive industry. It will also help to ensure a smooth translation of HDMI 2.x into ASA’s Application Stream Encapsulation Protocol (ASEP).
